CSP55040 — Machine Learning Application to Radio and Optical Networks (2026–present)

This module focuses on the practical application of machine learning to radio and optical transmission networks. Students examine wireless and optical networking challenges, compare proprietary and open network architectures, curate real testbed datasets, and design, train, and evaluate machine learning models for tasks such as mobility classification, throughput prediction, optical device characterisation, quality of transmission estimation, and anomaly detection.
